Our Review…

Colette, in our opinion, is the crown jewel of Lifestyle clubs in the U.S. With five locations, four in Texas and one in New Orleans, Colette sets the bar for Lifestyle Clubs.

Colette is owned by John and Jackie, longtime ambassadors of the Lifestyle scene. We’ll admit we’re a little biased (they’re friends of ours), but trust us, they know exactly how to run a world-class Lifestyle club. On top of that, they share their wisdom and experiences through their blog, OpenLove101.com. Make sure to check it out.

Back to their clubs, here are the basics.

What to expect

Wednesday and Thursday nights are a little slower, which can actually work in your favor if you’re craving a more intimate vibe. We especially love Wednesdays at Colette—it’s the perfect setting to meet new couples and make a flirty first impression without the weekend chaos. Plus, Colette often sweetens the deal with a special: if you go on a Wednesday, you can score free entry on the following Saturday night. Now that’s what we call a win–win.

Friday and Saturday nights are when Colette really comes alive—it’s a full-on party. By 11 p.m., the club is packed, the dance floor is jumping, and the vibe is electric. Make sure to check out the nightly theme before you go, and if you’re feeling it, dress up and make an entrance (No pressure if you skip the theme—about half the crowd does. Still, the ladies usually love to play along, and a hot themed outfit is one of the best icebreakers you’ll ever find.)

As for the crowd: the sweet spot tends to be 35–45, but you’ll find everything from adventurous 20-somethings to seasoned couples who know exactly what they like. Attractiveness is always subjective, of course—but trust us, we’ve never left without spotting more than a few couples we’d love to get to know better.

Vibe- The DJ spins a mix of current hits and old-school beats—though music taste is always up for debate (you can’t please everyone). Beyond the dance floor, Colette offers playrooms for both the bold exhibitionists and those who prefer something more private.

All in all, Colette is more of a social club than a straight-up sex club. Most guests come to mingle, dance, and connect, but if the mood strikes, the playrooms are available, clean and well-kept.

Dallas Colette

We’ve already sung Colette’s praises, but the Dallas location deserves its own spotlight. For the past eight years, it’s been our seductive playground—and in our eyes, it’s the crown jewel of the Colette family. The vibe is electric, the crowd is sexy fun, and the nights… well, let’s just say they’re filled with the kind of naughty memories that still make us smile. If you find yourself in Dallas, don’t even think about skipping it… and when you’re there, be sure to whisper to Mellisa that James and Aly sent you 😉

Club Eden bills itself as  “a private member-only 21 and up club for the LGBT, lifestyle & Domestic couples in open relationships to meet, mingle and explore their sexual freedom with like-minded people, without judgement in a safe and fun environment.”

Our Review…

Eden has locations in Dallas/Fort Worth (Euless), San Antonio, and Oklahoma City. We’ll admit—we’ve only been to Eden a handful of times. The Dallas/Fort Worth spot sits in Euless, right between the two cities, and it’s definitely one of those clubs people either love or hate.

We are an upscale, on-premise nightclub with a blended feel of high-class & cozy. We strive to provide a clean, sex-positive, and welcoming experience for every customer who walks through our door!

At TNG, you'll find amenities such as our fully-stocked private playrooms with security & cleaning staff, as well as our 1200 sqft. dance floor, complete with dance cage, 2 dance poles & a shadow box for sexy silhouette shows! All accompanied by the hottest music provided by our professional DJs, complimentary drink set-ups with a full waitstaff, covered patio, and complimentary refreshments!

Our Review…

We have only visited TNG once, and that was during an i.candy party (learn more about i.candy under Promoters or here). So, take this review with a grain of salt.

Like many LS clubs, TNG is tucked into a strip mall. The space itself is huge, with plenty of tables and chairs (when we went, there were fold-out tables and metal chairs), so finding a seat isn’t an issue. The setup does make mingling a little trickier compared to an open-floor concept, but we had no problem weaving our way to the couples that caught our eye 😉.

There’s a massive dance floor that begs to be filled, and playrooms tucked away in the back for when the night heats up. The night we went, the place was absolutely packed with hotties—but that’s pretty typical of an i.candy party. On a regular weekend, we’ve heard the crowd is decent, though not always a full house.

All that being said, we had a blast. In fact, we loved the concept so much it got us daydreaming about opening our own club someday. Truth is, it doesn’t take a million bucks to build a great Lifestyle club—it just takes a commitment to creating a space where people feel sexy, safe, and free to have fun. At the end of the day, it’s the crowd that makes the night; the walls are just the backdrop.

• The Pedulum Club (TPC)--- club

As described by TPC. “With three convenient locations, TPC provides members of the lifestyle community an opportunity to enjoy a night out without having to travel to far from home.  TPC also provides members with the option of choosing between three unique venues.  Each location has its own flavor and atmosphere. The Original Hempstead location is a replica of a mid-19th-century luxurious brothel, which instantly engulfs you in a warm, welcoming feeling. Our South location is designed with a midtown, trendy, contemporary vibe. This spot is quickly becoming the lifestyle club that weekly attracts a hipper & young at heart crowd.  The North location is a true revolutionary lifestyle club, never before experienced in Houston. With its exposed brick walls, flickering, flaming lights, and antique-furnished lounge areas, members will be astonished & impressed with the realistic New Orleans theme decor.

Another calculated feature on our part is that, unlike some large warehouse-type venues, by limiting the size of our clubs to 5000 sq. ft, we assure our members of a cozy, intimate setting that provides a fun, sexy party even with a limited crowd. This idea provides members with an opportunity to interact with each other more easily, with less intimidation. However, each one of our clubs offers our members 10 play areas, which is significantly more than most venues twice our size. Also, our Hempstead location, in spite of its size, has become the busiest lifestyle club in Houston!

Our Review…

We’ve only visited the Hempstead location, but we had a fantastic time. As mentioned above, TPC clubs are smaller than some of the big-name spots, so the crowd isn’t as large—but don’t let that fool you. Smaller can mean more intimate, especially if you prefer a more low-key vibe.

Like many LS clubs, TPC is tucked into a strip mall. The décor? Let’s just say it was… interesting 😉. But what stood out was how clean the club was, how friendly the staff seemed, and how refreshingly uncliquey the crowd felt compared to other places.

In fact, we clicked with a couple and ended up playing the very same night—which almost never happens for us. That alone made the trip memorable.

Our recommendation: give TPC a try. Their locations are convenient, the atmosphere is easygoing, and you just might find yourself having a surprisingly sexy night without going far.
