One club, four areas, every way to indulge and... pleasure!

XClube was originally designed and established in the spirit of the glamorous clubs of the South of France, particularly Cap d’Agde. In fact, when XClube opened in 2006, the French club served as its primary benchmark in both style and operation, which explains why the club is divided into several areas, each with its own distinct characteristics and functions.

Upon entering XClube, guests first pass through the reception area, where all identities are securely verified, followed by an efficient and 100% safe cloakroom. From there, they enter a cozy lounge area designed for intimacy. Filled with chairs, sofas, and tables, this space also features a small dance floor, a pole for dancing, a fully equipped DJ booth, and a fantastic bar stocked with a wide selection of top-shelf drinks, where our expert bartenders mix the finest cocktails.

This area also includes all the necessary items to ensure safety and hygiene, such as towels, flip-flops, sheets, wet wipes, and germicidal products. The showers in this area are open to all XClube visitors, offering yet another opportunity for guests to refresh and relax.

Beyond this intimate and private area, XClube also boasts a more social zone, where the club hosts its weekly parties and some of the most unforgettable moments of pure, unbridled fun. Inaugurated shortly after the club’s opening, XClube’s main room has undergone continuous upgrades since February 9, 2013, with significant investments in sound and lighting. Today, the club stands at the forefront of Lisbon’s nightlife scene in these areas.

The main room décor has also been carefully curated under the new management. One side of the dance floor features an impressive stage where not only established artists perform during XClube’s legendary themed parties, but also members who want to showcase their talents.

On the dance floor, guests can also find two cages—favorites among XClube members who love striptease and playful teasing. At the center of the floor, directly in front of the DJ booth, stands a 13-foot revolving pole, a prime spot for pole dance enthusiasts, whether experts, amateurs, or simply curious souls wanting to show off their moves.

The main room is served by a magnificent bar that stretches the entire length of the room, stocked with only the finest spirits. With two poles as tall as the room itself, this area transforms each night into a massive stage, where some guests prefer to dance and seduce, while others take to the pole or the iconic cages.

However, a great dance floor equipped with top-tier sound and lighting would be nothing without the perfect music to set the mood. That’s why, from the very beginning, XClube has always maintained a consistent musical style—not by genre, but by vibe. Modern music, carefully selected by a resident DJ with impeccable credentials, perfectly complements XClube’s unique urban energy.

Another hallmark of XClube is its themed parties. Since the club’s opening, it has hosted countless “mega parties” that have become legendary in the swing scene. Today, everyone knows that attending an XClube party means something special—well-prepared, imaginative, and always able to surprise. Boundaries are often pushed, and what seems impossible becomes reality. In short, XClube is as committed to its traditions as ever—and we plan to keep it that way!

Our Review…

XClube opens at 10, and we were determined to arrive right on time. We took an Uber, and when we stepped out of the car, we immediately wondered if we were in the right place. There was nothing that looked remotely like a club—just a dark, quiet industrial area. Even the Uber driver asked if we were sure about the location. I confidently said yes, though as he drove off, Aly looked at me for reassurance. I told her everything was fine, while internally imagining every horror movie scenario possible.

As we stood there, a car pulled in nearby. A man stepped out and lingered by his vehicle. I approached him and asked if he knew where the club was. He casually pointed toward a multi-level parking garage and said, "Go through that door and up the stairs". I thanked him, and we headed towards the garage. We found out later that the guy was one of the doormen for the club.

We made our way to the garage and found a discreet door leading to a stairwell. We climbed up, and as we reached the second floor, the sound of music drifted through a door across the way. We had found XClube—but honestly, without directions, you’d never know it was there. We paid the cover, walked in, and found ourselves completely alone.

The club itself was quite nice, with a spacious dance floor and plenty of seating. The playrooms were very dark, but clean and plentiful, offering both private spaces and exhibitionist-style beds. We ordered drinks, which took a bit of patience since the bartender didn’t speak English, and settled in to wait for the night to unfold.

It was an unusually hot night in Lisbon, and the heat inside the club was intense. Unfortunately, XClube doesn’t have air conditioning, which ended up being our only real complaint—but it was a big one. By around 11:30, a few couples began to arrive, though it wasn’t until nearly 1:00 a.m. that the club truly came alive.

The crowd was mostly young—around 25 to 40—with a few older couples mixed in. Overall, the crowd was very attractive, and we had no trouble spotting couples we were interested in. Finding people who spoke fluent English was a bit more challenging, but we still managed to make a few new friends. The crowd did feel a little cliquey, but that’s fairly typical. If you’re comfortable approaching people, you’ll do just fine; if not, you may struggle to make connections.

We stayed as long as we could, but the heat eventually won. By the time we left, we were absolutely drenched. That said, if you’re visiting during a cooler time of year, XClube is definitely worth checking out.
